Beechwood 2018/2019

What does Beechwood need to do to be successful in the 2018/2019 season? Please be constructive.

I expect Beechwood to take the proverbial “next step” this season, move up in the 9th Region rankings.

This team shouldn’t have a problem scoring and making plays. Interior strength and rebounding could be a weakness.

Will Draud put up 30 shots a game?

I hope so.

Beechwood should be pretty good. They have a lot back and some really good sophs that will be making a difference.

Are they a “lock” for the 9th region All A state bid? This team is tough, well coached, and has one of the best players in the region.

No "locks" for the All A. LAst year we were not a lock and still won it. St. Henry and Newport or pretty good as well.

Beechwood will be very good this year. They've had solid teams the last few years but have been unable to get out of the 35th district. Like you said, tough team and coach Goetz is a great coach on the sidelines. But a "Lock" for an All "A" state bid? Possibly. But I do believe they drew into a tough part of the All "A" regional bracket with Newport and NCC (host). Should be another fun season.

These next 3 seasons should be a high-water mark for Beechwood in terms of basketball potential, and when Draud is a senior and these 8th graders are sophomores, they "could" be a real handful for everyone in the 9th. Enjoy it Beechwood fans, you've certainly earned it.

I really enjoy watching dethridge (Spelling?), as he is a nice all around player, who is unselfish. His game has come a long way over the years, and he'll be a key piece of Beechwood's success.

Brandon Hughes a transfer from Dixie last year may make noise at Beechwood this year. That kid is going to be 6’6” or better soon.
