Is Sayre playing (some) varsity football in 2018?

According to the schedule posted on the school's website the Sayre Spartans are scheduled to play one or two varsity football games this fall. Most reports had indicated that the Spartans were playing froshmore and junior varsity schedules this season with varsity to begin in 2019. It doesn't really read that way here, though. The two games listed as varsity are on Friday nights while everything else is Monday/Tuesday. Anyone in the know?

Oct. 5 - vs. Jenkins at Kentucky Christian University (Varsity)

FWIW, the Indiana High School football schedule site shows Rock Creek hosting Sayre in a varsity game (Rock Creek Academy) and Maxpreps shows them playing Jenkins in a varsity game (http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/jenkins-cavaliers-(jenkins,ky)/football/schedule.htm).

I take Maxpreps with a huge grain of salt but the Indiana site is legit.

Sayre school is in Lexington. A small private school. I am assuming they will be a 1A school in football next year. Chad Pennington is the head coach. Google that name.

Chad Pennington could ball. Injuries plagued a pretty darn good NFL career.
