Beechwood 4 Covington Catholic 2

Nice win by Beechwood!

I thought the district championship wasn't finalized until Tuesday when the Tigers face off against Holy Cross? Obviously, the Tigers are a huge favorite there, but wouldn't an Indians upset force a 3 way tie?

Also, can anyone in attendance tonight comment on the unruly CovCath fans that were ejected?

Great outing by Trusty. Noah, the Sophmore, was perfect in relief. Tiger bats have returned with nice timing.

The CCH fans were ejected by the plate umpire with one out left in the 7th. Guess they just couldn't hold their tongues as they were badgering the official and the Tigers on deck.

Coach Grey has stated a couple times that he doesn't have an "Ace", per se.

Schlinger, Jackman, Burch and Trusty have all pitched very well this season. Noah has been excellent out of the pen. Even Doverspike, when given the opportunity, has thrown well.

It's been the next man up and all have stepped up to face the challenge, whomever that might be. This Tiger team is truly rolling like a team right now.

Who is the #1/ace for Beechwood and same for CCH?

With Beechwood playing in the A I'm curious as to how they set up their rotation for this game? Pitch their ace or are they saving their ace for the A?

Versus Highlands CCH ace is Maile!
