Which is worse? Billy Hamilton batting or Lonzo Ball shooting FTs

Got to admit that I'm getting a little fed up with Billy's inability to bunt or hit a groundball. Either of which give him a strong chance of getting on base and creating offense and defensive disruption. Great glove, arm, and speed. Striking out to walk ratio is an awful 3/1 career average, for a leadoff man.

But Lonzo Ball must have the worst offensive shot in the history of NBA point guards. FG% 42%, 3pt% 31%, and FT% 42%. Great rebounder, floor general, but a proven liability late in games when he gets fouled or is allowed to shoot rather than penetrating and dishing.

How can such gifted athletes be so substantially below peer average in their profession?
