Akron takes a 3-0 lead into the bottom of the 8th. The Curve would score six times in the bottom of the inning and then close out the ninth, after the Ducks scored 2 runs, with two out.

 

Sam Haggerty had 2 hits and 3 RBI in the loss.

Logan Hill had 3 RBI for the winners.

Cole Tucker had 2 hits in also for the winners.

This one is being played in snow, heavy at times.

 

The Indians take a 2-0 lead in the fourth.

Jose Osuna doubles

Jordan Luplow singles to put two one with one out.

Max Moroff doubles , his 3nd double of the game to make it 1-0.

Jacob Stallings makes it 2-0, with a sac fly.

 

Columbus goes wild in the sixth, with nine big runs.

Yu Chang singles off of the pitcher to make it 2-1.

Brandon Barnes grounds out but a run scores to make it 2-2.On the play an error allowed another run to score and we had a 3-2 game.

Yandy Diaz singles in two and it was a 5-2 game.

Mike Napoli hits a grand slam to make it 9-2.

 

The Indians got a run in the bottom of the sixth,when Max Moroff plated a run on a sac fly, to make it a 9-3 game.

 

The Clippers make it 10-3, with one run in the seventh.

Francisco Mejia gets the RBI on a bases loaded walk.

 

Top of the eighth and the Clippers make it 11-3, on a sac fly by Brandon Barnes.

 

Bottom of the eighth

Indians make it 11-4 when,Jacob Stallings singles to drive in a run.

Opening game for both teams.

Top of third and the Iron Pigs pick up a run on a Danny Ortiz sac fly(1-0)

 

In the bottom of the third the Paw. Sox lock it back up at one,. when Ivan De Jesus Jr. singles in Dan Butler.

 

Top of the fourth and the Iron pigs plate two.

Alexi Amarista singles in two and it is a 3-1 Pigs lead.

All three of the Pigs runs have came from players new to the organization.

1-0 Columbus(Indians)@ 0-1 Indianapolis( Pittsburgh)

 

The Indians get two in the bottom of the 2nd on a Kevin Newman single.

Scoring was Max Moroff, who walked and Jacob Stallings, who singled.

2-0 after two.

 

Jacob Stallings doubles (1) in the bottom of the fourth, to score Max Morof, who walked to make this a 3-0 game. Eric wood doubles(1) in Stallings to make it a 4-0 game.

 

Bottom of six and the Indians are at it again, this time against the Clippers new pitcher Preston Claiborne. Claiborne was in the Rangers organization in 2016.

First Max Moroff triples (1)and comes around to score on a Jacob Stallings double(2)

to make this a 5-0 game.Kevin Newman makes it 6-0 with another double(1). Austin Meadows singles and the blowout is on 7-0 Indians.Jose Osuna walks, the 2nd walk of the inning and this one was with the bases juiced and the score balloons to 8-0.

Jeff Beliveau is on for Columbus now. He was with the Blue Jays family in 2016.Max Moroff singles to make it 9-0.

 

So far the Indians have out hit the Clippers 11-6.

The Indians get another run to make it 10-0 on a pitch that hit the umpire in the mask.

Game 5

Toledo(Tigers) 1-1 @ Louisville(Reds) 1-1

 

The Mud Hens pick up two in the first.

Ronny Rodriguez singled and came around to score on a bomb by,Mike Gerber(2). Rodriguez was part of the Indians family last season, while Gerber was with three teams in the Tigers organization.

 

Bottom of the fifth Tony Cruz doubles in Tyler Goeddel and this is a 2-1 game.

 

Final 2-1, Toledo

Game 6:Charlotte Knights(White Sox) @ Durham Bulls(Tampa)

 

The Bulls put two on the board in the top of the 2nd.

Matt Skole doubles (1) on a ground ball to left fielder Jason Coats. Daniel Palka scores.Alfredo Gonzalez gets a RBI on a ground out.(2-0)

 

The Knights plate three in the fourth.

Jacob May singles to drive in two and then after a line out and an error another runs scored to make this a 5-0 contest.

 

Final Knights win 5-0.

Game 7

Columbus (Indians)1-2 at Louisville (Reds)1-2

 

The Bats take a 1-0 lead on a Rosell Herrera base hit, in the bottom of the first.

Tyler Goeddel had reached base on a error and then he swiped 2nd, then scored on the Herrera hit.

 

The Clippers get a run in the top of the 2nd to lock things up at one, on a bases loaded walk to Nellie Rodriguez.

 

Top of the fourth,Richie Shaffer homers (1) off of starter Brandon Finnegan to give Columbus a 2-1 lead.

 

Top of the fifth and Columbus has added another run., this time it was a Yu Chang double that scored Eric Haase, who also doubled.Brandon Barnes singles in another run to put Columbus up 4-1.

 

Evan Mitchell is on to throw for the bats, to start the top of the sixth.

With the bases juiced Eric Haase walks to make this a 5-1 game.

 

So far for Columbus,journey man Adam Wilk has pitched really well.

He has given up 4 hits, 1 base on balls and has 5 K's through five innings.

With two out in the fifth,Preston Claiborne is on for Columbus.

 

Ben Rowen is on for the Bats to start inning seven.

 

The Clippers get two more in the seventh.

Brandon Barnes singles.

Nellie Rodriguez singles.

Yandy Diaz reaches on a throwing error by pitcher Ben Rowen. Brandon Barnes scores and this is a 6-1 game.

Francisco Mejia gets a run batted in, on a ground ball force out and this is a 7-1 game.

 

Robert Zarate is on to toss the eighth for Columbus.

 

Barrett Astin is on in the ninth for the Bats.

 

Jeff Beliveau is on to throw the ninth for Columbus.

Las Vegas 51s (Mets) 2-6 @ El Paso Chihuahuas 5-3

 

The 51s strike first with two in the top of the first.

Ty Kelly doubles (2) after a sac fly, that put Kelly on third with out.

Zach Borenstein walks.

Bryce Brentz singles to make this 1-0.

David Thompson singles to make it a 2-0 game.

 

Top of five and the 51s are back at it.

Colton Plaia doubles (2) then he moves to third on a sac bunt by Corey Oswalt .

Plaia sores on a wild pitch by wild pitch by Chris Huffman, to make this a 3-0 score.

 

El Paso gets a run in the bottom of the eighth.

Dusty Coleman doubles (1)

Coleman to third on a wild pitch.

Coleman scores on a ground out by Brett Nicholas.

3-1 after 8.

 

The 51s ice this one with four in the ninth.

Bryce Brentz singles and is replaced by pinch runner Patrick Biondi.

Then steals Patrick Biondi steals (2) 2nd base.

Gavin Cecchini singles to make it 4-1

Colton Plaia walks to put two on.

Matthew den Dekker singles to make it 5-1.

Matthew den Dekker steals (1) 2nd base.

Ty Kelly singles o score two and make this a 7-1 game.

Game 10

 

Binghamton Rumble Ponies(Mets) 3-4 @ Portland Sea Dogs(Boston) 2-5

 

 

The Sea Dogs go up 1-0 on a RBI single by Tate Matheny. The Sea Dogs had four singles in the inning.

 

Jeremy Rivera singles with one out in the fifth.

Then Cole Sturgeon walks, to put two on with one out.

Josh Tobias singles to load the bases.

Pitching Change: Eric Hanhold replaces Nabil Crismatt.

Esteban Quiroz walks and it is a 2-0 game.

 

Tim Tebow kicks the sixth off with a double to put one on with zero outs.

The next three batters go down and the double is wasted.

 

Eric Hanhold gets out of two on with zero outs by striking out three in a row,in the bottom half of inning number six.

 

Portland pitching change to start the seventh.

Pitching Change: Daniel McGrath replaces Mike Shawaryn.

 

Bottom of the 8th and Portland has something brewing.

Game 11

 

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders(Yankees) 6-3 @ Charlotte Knights(White Sox) 3-6

 

Scranton got busy in the third with the first three runs of the game.

Abiatal Avelino singled.

Rashad Crawford gets a bunt single and on the play A error by Juan Perez,Avelino was able to move to third.

L. J. Mazzilli gets a sac fly, that scores a run, but two outs are recorded on the play.

Gleyber Torres and then a double(1) by Kyle Higashioka makes it 2-0.

Mike Ford singled to make the score 3-0.

 

Scranton would make it 4-0 on a Zack Zehner(2) solo blast, in the top of the fourth.

 

The Knights would end the scoring in this one, with three in the bottom of the fourth.

Jose Rondon singled and a walk to Daniel Palka put two on with zero outs.

Patrick Leonard makes it 4-1, with a sac fly.

Juan Perez homered (1) to make it 4-3 and that is how this one ended.

 

Scranton 4-3,Final.

Reno Aces(Arizona) 4-6 @ Fresno Grizzlies(Houston) 7-3

 

Scoreless game until the bottom of the seventh the Grizzlies plate four.

Garrett Stubbs singled to make the score 1-0.

Alejandro Garcia hits a three run homer (1) and it is a 4-0 game.

 

Bottom of the 8th and Fresno strikes again to make it a 5-0 game.

Jon Kemmer doubles (1)J. D. Davis singles him in.

 

5-0 Fresno with the win

Game 13

Pawtucket Red Sox(Boston) 3-4 @ Columbus Clippers(Indians)4-5

 

Game being played in 30 something degree weather and a light snow.

Columbus goes off in the first inning with four big runs.

Yu Chang singles with one out.

Francisco Mejia homers (2) with one on and two outs, to make this a 2-0 game.

Mike Napoli walks and then Adam Rosales hits an inside-the-park home run (1) and this is a 4-0 game.

 

The Pa-Sox strike back with two in the top of the sixth.

Ivan De Jesus Jr. singles and that is followed by a two-run bomb by Mike Olt (1)

 

Columbus was able to get a run in the bottom of the third on a bases loaded walk to Adam Rosales.

 

The Pa-Sox are busy in the fourth.

Jeremy Barfield reaches on a throwing error by third baseman Yandy Diaz.

Ivan De Jesus Jr. singles.

Mike Olt doubles (2) and this is a 5-3 game.

Dan Butler reaches on a fielding error by shortstop Yu Chang. Ivan De Jesus Jr. scores and this is a 5-4 game.

Jantzen Witte grounds into a double play to end the inning.

 

Pawtucket Top of the 5th

Mike Miller homers (1) and it is all tied at five.

Pitching change for Columbus.Jack Leathersich replaces Alexi Ogando.

Sam Travis homers (1) on a fly ball to center field and the Pa-Sox lead 6-5.

 

Bottom of five and the Pa-Sox have made a pitching change- Kyle Martin replaces William Cuevas.

Aneury Tavarez hit by pitch and then he gets his first steal of the season.

Sam Travis singles on a ground ball to right fielder Mike Papi. Aneury Tavarez scores to make it 8-5

Mike Olt doubles (4) and it is 9-5.

Pitching Change for Pa-Sox: Robby Scott replaces Kyle Martin.

Francisco Mejia singles on a line drive to center fielder Rusney Castillo. Brandon Barnes scores. Yandy Diaz to 3rd. 9-6.
