The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

 

 

* Tornado Watch for portions of

Eastern Arkansas

Southern Illinois

Western Kentucky

Southeast Missouri

Northwest Mississippi

West Tennessee

 

 

* Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 315 PM until

900 PM CST.

 

 

* Primary threats include...

A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible

Widespread damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts

to 75 mph possible

Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

 

 

SUMMARY...A line of intense thunderstorms over central AR will track

rapidly eastward across the watch area this afternoon and evening.

Damaging winds and a few tornadoes are the main threats.

 

 

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles

north and south of a line from 10 miles west southwest of Walnut

Ridge AR to 30 miles northeast of Fort Campbell KY. For a complete

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch

threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements

and possible warnings.

This appears to be the funnel cloud that caused the tornado warning in Warren County. By the warning map, I get it was very close to where my son and his family lives. It actually passed between where our daughter lives and our son lives.

The Tornado Watch for WKY has been cancelled. A new one has just been issued for parts of southcentral and central KY until 2 am EST.

* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 825 PM

until 200 AM CST.

 

 

* Primary threats include...

A couple tornadoes possible

Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

 

 

SUMMARY...Squall line across western portions of Kentucky and

Tennessee will move quickly east late this evening into the

overnight with a risk for damaging winds and a couple tornadoes.

 

 

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles

east and west of a line from 75 miles northeast of Bowling Green KY

to 45 miles south southwest of Nashville TN. For a complete
