1. John Hardin (19-6): The Bulldogs went 2 and 1 this week, and got revenge versus a district rival. They beat Elizabethtown 84-81, they beat Taylor County at Taylor 74-59, and lost to number 1 ranked Scott County 84-59. John Hardin locked up the 1 seed in the district tourney with their win over Elizabethtown. Guard Aaron Scott stepped up in the district game by scoring 23 points. John also added Anthony Witherspoon back from suspension this

week. This isn’t good news for the rest of the 5th region.

2. Larue County (21-2): The Hawks had a great week going 3 and 0, and continue to look like a contender. They beat Adair County 79-62, beat Green County 58-39, and beat Hart County at Hart County 81-59. Larue had two district blowouts and an impressive win versus Adair, without Goode, due to sickness. Shane King was fantastic versus Adair, as he scored 25 in his highly touted matchup versus Zion Harmon. Larue will be the one seed in the district.

3. Elizabethtown (13-8): The Panthers lost 2 of 3 games this week, but lost both games versus good teams, and was very close to winning both contests. They lost to John Hardin at John Hardin 84-81, beat Fort Knox 81-45 at Fort Knox, and lost to Warren Central 72-71. Even though they had two losses, the Panthers losses came to two region favorites. Tyler Harding had 30 points in the loss versus John Hardin. The Panthers will either be a 2 or 3 seed for district tourney.

4. Adair County (14-9): The Indians had a rough week, as they lost 2 out of 3 games, which both losses were by a good margin. They lost to Larue County 79-62 at Larue, beat Campbellsville at Campbellsville 86-75, and lost to Bowling Green at Bowling Green 95-71. Adair had a big week where they could get some signature wins, but instead saw two blowout losses. Dre Boyd had a double double every game, and has 9 straight double double games. For the first time in several years, 20th district is drawing for district tourney this year.

5. Central Hardin (14-8): The Bruins went 1 and 1 this week with a district win being there one win. They beat Fort Knox at Fort Knox, 78-57 and lost to Shelby County at Shelby County, 67-57. They have been a very consistent team all year. Big man Jacob Hobbs had 15 and 12 in the win versus Shelby County. Central could be the 2 seed or the 3 seed in their district tournament.

6. Marion County (14-9): The Knights won both their games this week, as they continue to play good basketball. They beat Franklin County 77-75 and beat Russell County at Russell County 71-66. Big man Jamison Epps had 24 and 12 versus Franklin County. Marion County is balanced, where they’re solid on the inside and outside. For the first time in several years, 20th district is drawing for district tourney this year.

7. Bardstown (14-7): The Tigers won both games this week, which was two district wins. They beat Bethlehem 65-54 at Bethlehem, and beat Nelson County 78-68 at Nelson County. The Tigers have won 8 of their last 9 games, as they have been playing well. Trey Riney had 20 and 13 in the district win over Bethlehem. Bardstown will either be the 1 or 2 seed in their district tournament.

8. Washington County (13-12): They went 2 and 2 this week, with one including a district win. They lost to Campbellsville 53-44, beat Thomas Nelson at Thomas Nelson 66-53, beat Cumberland County at Cumberland 64-53, and lost to Henry County at Henry County 64-59. Cameron Willis led Washington with 21 in the district win versus Thomas Nelson. They will either be the 1 or 2 seed in their district tourney.

9. Hart County (13-10): The Raiders winning streak ended this week, but the Raiders did still go 2 and 2. They beat Butler County at Butler County 70-66, beat Allen County Scottsville at Allen County 46-42, lost to Barren County at Barren 81-48, and lost to district favorite Larue at Larue County, 81-59. The two losses were to good teams. John Shoulders had 34 points in the win over Butler County. They are in a 3-way tie for second place, so they will draw for seeding.

10. Campbellsville (11-12): The Eagles had a great week, as they won 3 of the 4 games. They beat Washington County at Washington 53-44, beat Clinton County at Clinton 56-55, lost to Adair County 86-75, and beat Metcalfe County at Metcalfe 60-57. The Eagles got two good wins, with road wins at Clinton and Washington. Malachi Corley had 17 in the win versus Washington County. For the first time in several years, 20th district is drawing for district tourney this year.

11. Green County (11-12): The Dragons went 2 and 1 this week. They are in a 3-way tie for second place, so they will draw for seeding. Zyler Bardin has stepped up lately, and become the second option after Young.

12. North Hardin (9-16): The Trojans went 2 and 1 this week. This is a very balanced squad, as they have 4 players averaging over 9 points per game, and nobody averaging more than 15. They will be the 4th seed in their district tourney.

13. Caverna (9-13): Caverna had a good week, as they won both games. They continue to be led by standout senior Jobby Howard, who is averaging 29.9 points per game. They are in a 3-way tie for second place, so they will draw for seeding.

14. Taylor County (4-17): The Cardinals lost both games this week, but both were to region favorites. Their schedule has been brutal, and it doesn’t get easier going forward. Trevon Smith continues to be the guy for Taylor. For the first time in several years, 20th district is drawing for district tourney this year.

15. Bethlehem (8-13): They went 1 and 2 this week. They have been led by Chase Allen and Jacob Taylor, who are both averaging at least 17 points per game this year. They will be the 3 seed in their district tourney.

16. Nelson County (7-17): Nelson went 1 and 2 this week. They have been led by big man Benton McGill this year. They will be the 4 seed in their district tourney.

17. Thomas Nelson (2-21): They lost all 4 games this week. Jerry and Hunter Wimsett have led them this year in scoring. They will be the 5 seed in their district tourney.

18. Fort Knox (2-15): They did win one of their 4 games this week. They have been led by Jonah Butts this year. They will be the 5 seed in their district tourney.
