Russell got off to a strong start, leading 11-2 early, but the Lady Eagles found their footing and took control of the game. As a team, they shot really well from beyond the arc. Anna Clephane, one of the state's top scorers, had a game high 25 for Scott. To go on the road, 2 hrs away, and beat a quality team on their home floor on a Saturday afternoon is an impressive showing by the Lady Eagles.

After the hot start, Russell looked out of sorts on both ends of the floor. The shots just weren't falling today.
