passtheball
Owensboro's starting PG was replaced by a freshman (Head) due to an illness. She played a really good game, but probably wasn't used to the speed and quickness the Valkyries have verse other teams they play. SHA turned them over 21 times and Head had 6 of them, but she did have 5 assists. Owensboro kept it close in the first quarter, but Samsel went 4-4 from the three in that quarter to help give the Valkyries a lead that they never relinquished. It was 22-15 at the end of the 1st quarter. SHA turned up the pressure in the second quarter and won that quarter 24-4 to pretty much put the game out of reach for the Lady Aces.
