Mustang
Bishop Brossart High School is excited to announce Brianna Popham as our new head volleyball coach. Coach Popham brings experience as a player, coach, and in leadership roles, to her new position at Brossart. A 2009 Notre Dame Academy graduate, she was a captain on the state runner-up team, during her junior season. Following high school, coach Popham was a starter for four seasons at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. She also served as a team captain, and received numerous athletic and academic honors during her career at Adelphi. After graduation, coach Popham was an assistant coach on the Adelphi volleyball staff for one season, while completing her Masters Degree. During the past two seasons, she has worked as an assistant coach on the NDA volleyball staff, while teaching Physical Education at Blessed Sacrament School, in Fort Mitchell. “Coach Popham’s achievements as a coach, athlete, professional, and student jumped off the page of her resume,” said Kevin Bundy, Bishop Brossart athletic director. “She’s been a high achieving leader dating back to her time as a student at Notre Dame and certainly moving forward into her time at Adelphi, and as she began her coaching career. “She exudes confidence and has a great technical grasp for the game of volleyball. We are thrilled to have coach Popham join Brossart in her role as the leader of our volleyball program, and as a tremendous role model for the girls she coaches.” A reception introducing coach Popham to the Brossart community will take place in early January.
