Frankfort 73 Bishop Brossart 58

Recommended Posts

The difference in this one was that one team had John Tillman and the other one didn't.

Mustangs managed to keep it close early on, trailing 15-13 after a period, and 37-32 at the half. Frankfort tried to make short work of the Stangs with 2:20 to play in the half, on top 35-22 when the Mustangs went on a 10-2 run to narrow the margin to 7 at intermission.

Frankfort continued to build on their halftime advantage as Tillman scored 18 of his game high 30 points in the third and fourth quarters. While the Mustangs held the free-throw shooing advantage 12/15 to 2/3 in the first half, things balanced out in the second half as the Panthers finished the game at 14/18, while the Mustangs only managed two charity tosses in the second half, finishing at 13/17.

Zach Hamberg led the Mustangs with 14 and Bryce Donnelly netted 9. Tillman's performance was complimented by 19 from Juanya Frank who added 19.

Brossart falls to 2-3 on the young season and head to Brooksville for a 10th Region encounter with the Bracken County Polar Bears. Frankfort improves to 3-2.
