Interesting matchup...Powell is obviously playing much better than a 4 loss team (0-4 start), reeling off 8 straight with a good win over Casey.

Powell effectively shut down Casey's passing offense, but Corbin has a lot of nice offensive balance. Ran the ball particularly well last night vs Bell vs a stacked box when necessary. Mixed in some nice play action and double move routes to keep the safeties out of the running Lanes.

Ordinarily, I would say Corbin has a huge advantage due to their defense...but Ethyn Sims has allegedly been suspended via ejection last night. Definitely Corbin's best defensive player. Will force some new faces on the field. Certainly going to be a hostile atmosphere with a Powell team hungry for a region championship.

Why was Sims ejected?

I understand that he took offense to getting punched in a certain area of his anatomy and retaliated, leading to ejections for both players. He should have known better and maybe should have been out of the game at that point anyway.

Simms will be a huge loss. He is the heart of the defense and special teams, having scored TD's by blocking punts, returning an INT, by fumble recovery and returning kicks.

Will Mitchell be back this week? If both he and Simms are out, things could get interesting. Could we possibly see Sizemore or Estep make their defensive debuts?
