8th Region Cats Pause??

Has anyone seen the rankings for the 8th region?

I havent seen the list......but someone told me Oldham County was #1. I think my source may have been off or pulling my leg? But with Cats Pause, you never know.

This list must have been put together based on last season. SK's Niece and WV's Lehkamp both suffered serious knee injuries over the summer and are likely to miss most of the season. If Niece doesn't come back (you couldn't blame her if she didn't since she has already signed with NKU) the 32nd, as well as the 8th is up for grabs. Before her injury she was a level above everyone else on this list and was the one player the rest of the teams in the region didn't have an answer for.

This region is a total crapshoot if Niece doesn't play. Probably 7 teams that could potentially win the region.

I would still list Simon as the favorite even without Niece, but the gap between them and the pack would not be nearly as large.

Spencer County transfer Amie Conley (Shelby County) could very well be on that top ten player list. That would give Spencer County three of the top players in the region.

You could make a strong case that Spencer is currently the #1 team in the region with Niece being out.

Have to disagree with you. Grant is #6, really? They were region runner-up (knocking out the defending champion in last season's tourney) and have everyone coming back. They should be #2 behind SK. This should be bulletin board material for them. Spencer has some nice players. We will see if that translates into a run at the region title this season.

There was 3 tier's of teams last year in the 8th. Simon was on tier 1. Anderson was on tier 2. Grant was with a group of teams in tier 3.

I think this year if Niece doesn't return you have 7 teams that could potentially make a claim that they are the top team. Should make for an interesting race.

That defending chap had lost two starters and three of the top six players. Granted they did have their top two players.
