Rick Pitino and Tom Jurich

In today’s corruption at Louisville news, the Courier-Journal uncovered a pretty insane truth regarding how Tom Jurich’s income compares to other parts of the university.

According to the C-J’s story, Jurich is paid more than UofL’s entire History department. And its Mathematics department. And its English department. And its Biology department.

Jurich brings in more than all four!

And he is paid double what the second highest-paid AD in the country makes!

Then there is the story of Rick Pitino’s cut from the university’s current deal with adidas. Again from the C-J, Pitino raked in 98 percent of the cash from the deal. NINETY EIGHT PERCENT!!!!

That’s not a deal with Louisville; that’s a deal with Rick Pitino.

May I remind you, Jurich tried to make everyone, namely the taxpayers, believe the athletic department is struggling financially. Maybe so if he and Rick are taking everything home with them, which they were.

This corruption and greed over there is mind-boggling, as is the continued support of Jurich.

I imagine you will get no argument from anyone about just how much Tom Jurich has done for the University of Louisville. But, ANY ATHLETIC DIRECTOR who has/will have two MAJOR NCAA VIOLATIONS on their watch ceases to be in the “best AD in the country” conversation.

I wonder how much of the new deal was going to go to Pitino? 98% of $160,000,000 is quite a bit!

All the people that still support Tom Jurich have lost their mind.

If I remember correctly, the great majority of the consideration UL was to receive from the Adidas deal consisted of apparel for the various teams. Don't believe there was much cash involved at all.

When you factor in the price of Yeezys Pitino was spotted wearing several times the costs can get pretty high. 98% sounds about right.

Tom Jurich literally has the best job ever. Talk about a man taking advantage of an institution. Louisville is corrupt. They need a cleansing .
