Does anyone know much about this recruit for Louisville? I hadn't heard anything about him till all this went down. Was he recruited by UK and Duke? What position does he play,etc. ?

Kentucky never showed interest.

He might as well start preparing for the draft.

On @gametime podcast earlier this week one reporter stated he talked to a coach at a top 5 program who thought they had him locked up and when he flipped to Louisville so quickly they knew Louisville paid for him.

If I remember right, dude was a lock to be headed to Michigan State but Arizona was also a player right until the end.

Then out of nowhere Louisville started popping up and he committed very quickly and surprisingly.

Curious that a top ranked kid like that went that late into the summer break before picking a team. I know there have been a few others but they were all much higher profile kids.

It's sad that parents, AAU Handler or whomever it was, was essentially pimping him out for the $$$$.

No doubt they were waiting for the best deal.

Louisville has said he is not participating at this point.

He has hired an attorney and plans to fight for reinstatement.

I guess he can afford the legal fight now.

From what I have read Louisville has not paid any money whatsoever, Adidas paid the money. Maybe that program that had him locked up was the Nike program that the stool was talking about when he said Nike had made a better offer and Adidas had to come up with more money. As Jay Bilas said, the shoe companies have been buying players and influence for ages. The system is corrupt.

I would think the IRS would be a non issue as long as the parents report the money on their 2017 return filed by 4-15-2018.
