Though the lions have size, and their coat is gold.

The Admirals have playmakers, and they are feeling mighty bold.

The Ads keep this one safe, never really in doubt.

Danville wins by 4 TD's, but not quite a rout.

PREDICTION: DANVILLE

 

2. DeSales at 3A Lexington Catholic

It's battle of the Catholics, it's Lou versus Lex

Behind a solid LB core, the Colts stacks their decks.

Though the Knights have firepower, and that solid back named Jones.

It's the Colts Defense, which will be rattlin' them bones.

DeSales will get challenged, LexCath needs a "W" by their name,

The Colts win by 3 scores, they won't lose this game.

PREDICTION: DESALES

 

3. Mayfield vs. 3A Corbin

A big time state match-up, across the state border.

The Sizemore led Redhounds will be a tall order.

Mayfield's Offense is scoring at will, averaging at least forty per night.

Don't expect that streak to continue against a Defense so tight.

A back and forth battle ensues down at Austin Peay.

Corbin wins on a late drive, the Fightin' Cliffords win by 3.

4. Lexington Christian Academy at 1A Kentucky Country Day

It may be a Country Day, but this is no stroll through the meadows.

The Bearcats have their best team in memory and are stalking in Beechwood's shadows.

The Eagles are starting to click, their Offense blows scoreboards to pieces.

With a back as big as Wheatley, you best tackle well in the creases.

The Cats fight valiantly, but the Eagles get after them.

LCA bests KCD, they are the superior acronym.

6. Newport Central Catholic at 6A Conner

The Swami didn't see that one coming! He needed to clean his crystal ball.

Behind a dominant performance on the line, the mighty Centurions took a fall.

The Breds' take the track, in the background of CVG

A big school foe once more and NewCath has a challenge indeed.

The Swami learned his lesson, time to give the horses their respect.

The 4th win of the year for Catholic, with District play up next.

PREDICTION: NEWPORT CENTRAL CATHOLIC

 

7. Glasgow vs. 4A Franklin-Simpson

The score was tight, but the Scotties improved to four out of five.

Franklin-Simpson comes calling after making a short drive.

The 4A Runner-Ups are not quite up to last year's level.

If Glasgow can beat this ranked foe, their fans will surely revel.

The Scotties will fight until the end, but they fall short on their rally.

The Wildcats survive with a win by merely a single tally.

PREDICTION: FRANKLIN-SIMPSON

 

8. Somerset vs. 4A Rockcastle County

The Bunnies couldn't be hotter if their patch was in flames.

Their Offense is doing enough while their D is taking names.

An undefeated Rocket squad is up next, yet to taste defeat.

After knocking off a larger school. the Wabbits wish to wepeat.

It would be easy to take the 4A school, but Swami has a hunch.

He'll take Somerset in the upset, call it "Failure to Launch"

PREDICTION: SOMERSET

 

9. Walton-Verona vs. Owen County

District 5 gets started, and it is a big game to state a fact.

Walton comes in licking wounds, LCA was too stacked.

Owen is off to a hot start, no doubt they come to play.

The Rebels will get some yards and some points, thanks to David Gray.

With an upset looming the Bearcats will dig deep and show their iron will.

A pair of 4th Quarter Touchdowns gets them over the hill.

PREDICTION: WALTON-VERONA

 

10. Owensboro Catholic vs. Butler County

Like a singer off key, the Aces were given the hook at the Apollo.

Luckily for them this week's fate is not going to follow.

Butler County is yet to win a game, 40+ they routinely yield.

Catholic will have this one in hand not long after they take the field.

As the clock runs on, the Aces let their starters rest.

The JV does give up a score against their Varsity test.

PREDICTION: OWENSBORO CATHOLIC

 

Metcalfe County vs. Clinton County

After getting two in Overtime, Metcalfe survived a scare.

A point was the difference last week, this Friday they will have scores to spare.

Bryson Mayes is a workhose, he will continue his tear.

Make Edmonton great again? A winning program back in town.

Much like Hillary in the Election, this Clinton is going down.
