Each year when I first see the schedule there's typically very few bands that I've ever heard of, yet last summer I was pleasantly surprised with some very good performances from numerous so called unheard of bands.

Truth is there were typically tons of youngsters in the audience who very much did know who they were, and I was just playing catch up, but I was glad that I did because the lineups included some pretty hot solid artists.

Need to put July 21 on my calendar!

I was recently shopping for Beats…, and the sales guy played this awesome music for a test listen. When I asked about the group he said it was Motherfolk. Thanks for posting this list!

I'll have to check them out. :thumb:

Looks like the two main dudes of Motherfolk are Maysville natives and Mason County graduates with the remaining bandmates from the NKY/Cincy area who've toured their sound around the country and are getting noticed.

Here's a video with live footage from the Bunbury Festival at Sawyer Point, and also on Fountain Square.

Merchants and Music Festival is always a good time in Fort Thomas. It's usually in September.

The Merchants and Music Festival is being put on hold this year for the sesquicentennial. Instead, a Blues Festival has been approved by City Council.

As part of the Fort Thomas 150 Celebration, there will be a few concerts at Tower Park for the week of 4th of July celebration.

Tuesday, July 4: 7:30 p.m. - Northern Kentucky Symphony Orchestra followed by fireworks at 10 p.m.

Wednesday, July 5: 8:00 p.m. - School of Rock concert.

Saturday, July 8: 7:00 p.m. - The Leftovers - 9:00 p.m. - The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Also, I believe Borderline and Britney's Lipstick are plying, but I'm not sure about the times.
