Highlands 13 Dayton 2 (5 Innings)

This is a couple of Days late. The Ladybirds go to Dayton's Home field and Win in probably Highlands most meaningful game of the Season on Wednesday. With the win it made Highlands the Overall #1 in the 36th District. A loss would of made things a little Interesting with a 3-Way tie between Highlands,NewCath & Dayton. Highlands bats were alive on this Night!

I want to give a shout out to some of the Ladybirds who got their 1st career HR's in a Highlands Uniform. Soph 2nd Baseman Rachael Gabbard sent a Solo shot to Right in the 1st Inning. Then Junior Maleah Abner hit a Bases Loaded Grand Slam almost Dead Center in the 4th Inning. And then a few moments later 7th grader Pitcher Gracie Schlosser hit another Solo shot to Right field. Pretty exciting stuff for these young Ladybirds! Congratulations Ladies!

The Ladybirds finish up the season tonight at Home for Senior night against St Henry. They then wrap up the Weekend with a Tri against Bullit East & Boone Co @ Boone and then it's on to Districts. Good luck to all of the Girls!
