St. Henry 7 Highlands 3

Recommended Posts

Hunter Dreves pitched a great game. His command is improving every start. Unofficially Dreves went 5 2/3 innings, 13 K's, 5 BB's, 4 hits.

He will succeed or fail with his control. Can't walk 5.

Let's give St. Henry some credit they are due. They battled from beginning to end, got great pitching out of Brady with tough defense behind him and timely hitting while taking advantage of the walks. Not sure if the hit count on Dreves is correct. Kraus had 3 against him on his own. Think he scattered 3 or 4 others. Even with the loss to Cov Cath Friday, the Crusaders have still won 10 of their last 11.

After seeing the Crusaders play on Friday I am a believer. They have some very good pitching, pretty good defense and are very well coached. If you look past them, they will beat you. Their Coach has them believing in themselves and they are peaking at the right time. The good news for everyone else is that the secret is out.

The hit count is probably low as the strike out count is probably little high.

St H beat Highlands with out any question. I'm a believer. They play tough defense, make very little mistakes, and battle at the plate. They are a very good team!
