WWE Backlash (May 21st)

Recommended Posts

The card so far:

Randy Orton © vs. Jinder Mahal - WWE Championship

Kevin Owens © vs. A.J. Styles - WWE United States Championship

The Usos © vs. Breezango - WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Dolph Ziggler (Match isn't official yet, but surely this is what it will be)

Curious to see what direction they go with the women's division.

I expect a Sami Zayn/Baron Corbin match will be added.

Tye Dillinger? Luke Harper? Erik Rowan? Will New Day be healthy by then?

The Jinder Mahal push is bizarre to me. I don't mind the push, but the fact that the guy went from a jobber to the #1 contender in a week's time is pretty lazy creative work IMO. I understand they're doing it in an attempt to expand their market in India, but I just wish they would've given him time to build to #1 status as opposed to just throwing it on him.

Regardless...Ownes & Styles will be the feature match on this card, I think.

Looks kinda crappy honestly. I don't see anyway Orton loses the title. Kevin Owens/AJ Styles will be good other than that, blah is all I see

Same here, although Owens/AJ should cover a lot of the card's weaknesses.

Nakamura/Ziggler could be a good one as well, and it will be refreshing for Smackdown to have Shinsuke actually wrestle.

Pretty much a blah show if you ask me. Still can't believe Jinder is the WWE Champion.

The WWE timed it just right with the President visiting the Middle East.

I thought the show was solid, nothing great, certainly not bad.

I enjoyed the Usos and Breezango, and Fandango is one heck of a wrestler and we rarely get to see that.

Nakamura and Dolph were good, so were Zayn and Corbin.

I am glad to see Jinder win the title. I love the added twist of those two little guys that are his equivalent of J & J Security.

Most of you probably missed this part but maybe the best part of the whole show was Kevin Owens on the after show in full Kevin Owens mode.
