Most starting pitchers used in a season?

They used 15 last year in 2016. The record is 24. The "modern" record would be 1967 Mets at 20. No team has used 18 since 1996.

Already at 6 just a few weeks into the season. Gotta figure it will perhaps be 7 when Finnegan's next turn comes up.

I don't think so, we've used 6 so far and 7 likely coming up with a Finnegan out, I'm thinking we'll use probably 10 or 11 no more than about 13 tho this season, because technically the only reason we're at 6 or 7 is because of injuries, when Bailey & Desclafani come back we can make it 9, and Stephenson, Reed, & Adleman might start at some point.

Just a few years ago they only used 5.

Just listing those pitchers makes you realize why the Reds needed to give a couple veteran arms a chance to play. There are several talented prospects, but they're not capable of pitching 200 big league innings individually.

To answer the question in the thread: No, the Reds will not break this record this year.

Others you can add to the "possible" category.....Jackson Stephens and Tyler Mahle...Still not going to break the record.
