frankdracman23
Course is expected to be soft from wet weather. 10 under or more might be necessary to be in contention. No Tiger (and maybe never again) so is Johnson the one to catch? Can Jordan shake last year? Is Rory just waiting to pounce?
HammerTime
I can't shake myself from this Tiger funk. Every tournament is missing just a little something for me with him not being there. I hate that he stinks now.
RoyalWildcat
I REALLY want Rory to win this one, but wouldn't mind seeing DJ, Jordan, Day or Mickelson.
CincySportsFan
Would really like to see Jordan bounce back from last year. What's the over/under how many times CBS reminds us of it?
Hellbird
Would really like to see Jordan bounce back from last year. What's the over/under how many times CBS reminds us of it?slightly more than the number of times they talk about Greg Normans Masters Meltdown when talking about Jordan Speith's. RoyalWildcat
Now that March Madness is finally over with, we move to the Masters that begins on Thursday in Augusta, Georgia. Coming in Dustin Johnson has to be the heavy favorite winning each of his last 3 starts and being #1 in the Official World Golf Rankings, but does Augusta really suit his game? Guess only time will tell. Jason Day is returning after WD'ing from the Dell Match Play to be with his mother as she is battling lung cancer. Day seems to have the power and finesse to do well at Augusta and finished 2nd in 2011 to Charl Schwartzel, some story it would be if he's at the top of the leaderboard Sunday afternoon. Rory McIlroy only needs the Masters to complete the career Grand Slam, I don't think it's a matter of if he will get it done, but just when will it be? If McIlroy gets the putter going it could very well be this week. Jordan Spieth blew a back 9 lead last year after taking a 7 on the par 3 12th hole, in three Masters appearances he has a 2nd, 1st, and another 2nd. Not too shabby for a 23 year old. Augusta seems to be his niche so he definitely isn't out of the equation. Then you have past winners in Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott, and Bubba Watson who're still looking to add to their green jacket collection, along with Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Henrik Stenson, and Justin Rose who're still looking for their first green jacket. Augusta will be soft so scores will definitely be low, and with perfect weather for the weekend, we should be set for a GREAT tournament. Copied and pasted that from my blog. RoyalWildcat
Per Bleacher Report- Dustin Johnson may not compete in the 2017 Masters after "seriously" falling down a staircase and injuring his back.

This is horrible news. I want all the good players to be healthy - and he has to be the favorite if healthy.

He says he is over it and he may very well be but nobody will really know (including Jordan himself) until he stands on the 12th tee Sunday in contention. Those greens will be even more treacherous than ever. I wouldn't be surprised to see the leader after Friday's cut over par. They can dry the greens out to make them as fast as they want any time they want.
