SnottieDrippen
Last night's final. Game was a little more competitive than the final score indicates. Williamstown cut the lead to 11 at the end of the 3rd or beginning of the 4th before Devin Young and Aaron Franklin knocked down threes on about five straight possessions. Young probably finished with 30 and is an All-Region player, and Franklin was in the 15-21 range, all on threes. Pretty evenly distributed scoring from the Demons, who were led by Stanley's 25ish in his return, and they were able to limit SO's second chance points, especially in the third period, on the strength of Fox and Parson's rebounding. Williamstown recognized the 1964-65 team, which is the last WHS team to win a district title, at halftime and presented them with a trophy to replace the original, which went missing shortly after the Carroll County, who they beat in that year's district finals, Superintendent accepted the same postition at WHS a few years later. Banner was hung, pictures were taken, Steve Woods was not booed. Really fun evening at the Demon Dome, loss aside.
