1. Corbin (21-4 overall, 13-2 vs. 13th Region opponents)

The Redhounds snapped Harlan County’s 23-game home win streak and eight-game win streak during last week’s 73-61 win. Corbin looks to be peaking at the right time.

2. Knox Central (22-5, 11-3)

The Panthers are blowing everyone out. They have a solid match-up with Cordia tonight, and will finish regular season play against North Laurel.

3. North Laurel (22-5, 11-3)

The Jaguars keep on rolling, and have two important games against Corbin and Knox Central coming up. The key to both games will be if Bryan Gray will be good to go and play.

4. South Laurel (21-7, 10-2)

Injuries have slowed the defending 13th Region champions down a bit. The Cardinals are hoping to get starters JJ Ramey, Ryan Anders and Zac Feltner back into the line-up soon.

5. Harlan County (25-3, 12-2)

The Black Bears saw their eight-game win streak get snapped when they lost at home last week to Corbin, 73-61.

6. Clay County (14-11, 9-6)

The Tigers are struggling right now, and have gone 3-3 during their past six games, which includes a 76-52 thumping by Knox Central.

7. Whitley County (10-17, 5-11)

No team has been hit with as many injuries as Whitley County. The Colonels continue to play hard, though. They had Wayne County down by three points on Saturday, but the Cardinals hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime, and eventually won, 80-75, despite seeing Whitley County’s Corey Johnson score 39 points while Dylan Wilson added 21.

8. Pineville (18-7, 12-3)

The Mountain Lions continue to win, but I still have a hard time ranking them any higher than the eight-spot.

9. Oneida Baptist (9-15, 3-14)

The Mountaineers have won three of their last four games, and almost upset Clay County on the road last week. Oneida Baptist trailed by double digits before rallying to take the leads int he fourth quarter. The mountaineers ran out of gas and lost, 90-83.

10. Lynn Camp (16-10, 8-5)

The Wildcats could have been ranked a spot or two higher, but a 79-72 loss to Oneida Baptist dropped them a spot.

11. Bell County (12-16, 5-9)

Many expected the Bobcats to play shorthanded South Laurel tight at home, but the defending 13th Region champs defeated Bell County, 68-37.

12. Harlan (13-12, 6-7)

The Green Dragons looked to be on a roll, but have dropped three of their last four games, which turned out to be against 13th Region competition.

13. Jackson County (12-16, 5-11)

The Generals have lost six of their last seven games, but did manage to put a scare in Knox Central last week before losing, 88-73.

14. Barbourville (10-15, 6-9)

The Tigers looked like they were heading in the right direction a few weeks back after defeating Whitley County but they’ve dropped two games since with one of those being against the same Colonel team.

15. Williamsburg (5-17, 3-10)

The Yellow Jackets snapped a five-game losing skid by upending Jellico, Tenn. on the road last week, 53-51.

16. Middlesboro (5-19, 2-13)

The Yellow Jackets are slowly improving. Coach Isaac Wilson continues to make the program better.

17. Red Bird (9-16, 2-14)

The Cardinals took one not he chin last week, losing to Middlesboro on the road, 65-64.
