Mustang
True to my word, when we failed (Brossart Boys Basketball) to qualify for the "A" State Basketball tournament a couple of weeks back, leaving a 2 games in 14 days gap, I was quickly on a Delta flight for 13 days in sunny South Florida. The first six days were spent at Gulfstream Park Race Track honing my horse racing handicapping skills. The other seven days were spent in Boynton Beach with my fishing partner Bill Hagedorn. We were able to get out onto Lake Worth one day while down there and fished with a local, Doug Kimball, who allowed me to throw plugs for largemouth the first two hours, and then we were off in quest of Peacock Bass. We were successful in both pursuits, catching about 20 fish on the day, with our largest being five pound Peacocks, and a four pound largemouth. I certainly was fortunate to experience perfect weather, a few winners at the track, and a great fishing outing here in the middle of winter.
