SnottieDrippen
Dandy of a ballgame. Lloyd held a five point lead at the half, which turned into a one point Newport lead in just a shade over a minute of 3rd quarter play. Back and forth through the entirety of the second half and the first extra period, but Newport simply ran out of bodies. Seemed like different Wildcats fouled out every other possession late. As an aside, Elijah Jouett might be the hardest working young man in HS hoops. There's a spot on every team for a guy with his level of tenacity. Kudos to him and the rest of the Juggernauts on a well-deserved win.
B-Ball-fan
Watched the broadcast at NKYSports but didn't notice any Sterling Hamilton for Lloyd. Anybody got the scoop on that?

On the bench in street clothes. No guesses as to why.
Cousin Sal
A win over Newport without Hamilton is a great win. Is he injured? Seems like its going around more than usual this season.
excele1001
Without Hamilton, this appears to be a very good win. Newport has certainly lost some steam.

Big Fundamental
Foul trouble was a major problem. Lloyd shot 30 more Free Throws than Newport. Haven't seen a discrepancy like that in many years, if ever. To send it to 2 OTs with that type of foul trouble is a tough feat. Both teams played hard, and Molitor and Voet both stepped up big in Hamiltons absence.
