Ashley Judd Hammers Chick-fil-A for Promtion that Encourages UK Fans to Make Noise | Nation of Blue

Kentucky “super fan” Ashley Judd isn’t happy with Chick-fil-A’s promotion that encourages UK fans to make noise during opponents’ free throws.

The way the promotion works, if an opposing player misses two free throws during a trip to the line, UK students get free Chick-fil-A.

How is it any different than Larossa's giving free pizza when the Reds get 11 strikeouts?

I thought that was a clever promotion and good way to get the fans into the game. I mentioned it at the time to my wife.

I love Ashley but I can't agree with her on this. Rupp already has a tendency of just watching the game, rather than being a true difficult environment for opponents. If this helps create more noise and more misses, then that is a good thing.

Im freaking appalled at UK fans for cheering against an opponent. How dare they root against the other team.

There's nothing wrong with Ashley having an opinion, but one such as this should be mentioned only to her sister, mom, or friends. Most UK fans spend too much time sitting as if they're at a wake to begin with, so anything to help the fans get involved is a good thing.

Is this really "hammering" Chik Fil A ?

If it wasn't Ashley, nobody would care or RT anyway.

For the record, as long as Ms. Judd continues to put out covers and posters, I don't care who or what she tweets at....just sayin'
