It has been another great season for Eastern Kentucky teams with State Title dreams alive and well in several classes. Let's close the book on the regular season with our Final Eastern Kentucky Power Ranking!

1. Belfry Pirates (3A, 9-1)- The battle for the Top Spot was everything people hoped for, but in the end the Pirates made the plays to get the win and take down the Eagles on the road. Now to shoot for the 4-peat.

2. Johnson Central Golden Eagles (4A, 9-1)- No shame in losing to Belfry in a game that the Eagles won the State Book. Johnson Central will now re-direct and focus on winning their first ring.

3. Corbin Redhounds (3A, 9-1)- The Redhounds Revenge Tour claims another victim. Corbin only fell a point short against Mayfield, but now set their sights on their ultimate revenge.

4. Rockcastle County Rockets (4A, 9-1)- Rockcastle was only a flat performance against Pulaski away from perfection and have all the momentum they could want heading into the portion of the Season you want to be on a roll.

5. Southwestern Warriors (5A, 7-3)- LexCath's last second Field Goal wasn't the way the Warriors wanted to head into the playoffs, but it doesn't change the fact that they will be the favorite to come out of the East in Class 5A

6. Paintsville Tigers (1A, 10-0)- Let's hear it for EKY's only undefeated team! The Tigers are firmly a Title Contender for a Class 1A Title but the road will not be easy.

7. Pulaski County Maroons (5A, 8-2)- Jake Johnson becomes Kentucky's all-time leading receiver and the Maroons survive Bourbon County to lead into November.

8. Wayne County Cardinals (4A, 8-2)- Wayne will have to go to work as a 2-seed in a brutal region, but Coach Thompson's crew should be up to the task to earn a rematch with Rockcastle.

9. Russell Red Devils (3A, 9-1)- The Devils are a 2 Point Conversion away from perfection and just found that conversion against the rival Rams of Raceland. Can they challenge Belfry?

10. Raceland Rams (1A, 8-2)- Raceland loses back to back heart breakers to end the regular season and will need to regain their focus because a Class 1A Title birth is clearly still within their reach.

The top 10 looks pretty good. A lot of very good teams in EKY this season.

I swear, it feels like this is the fifth year in a row that Horton has been defensive POY, lol.

Only four... he didnt get a medical redshirt like Boyle County got Bobby Leffew that year HAHA

Tough to see Fleming County drop out of the top 25 (especially since they beat some teams in it) but after their loss to East Carter you can't argue with it. They better get their stuff together quick or Lawrence will end their season this Friday.
