It seems hard to believe, but South Warren comes into this game on their longest winning streak of this season (not counting carryover). The Spartans, who had their 17 game win streak snapped by Greenwood in the third game, had not won more than two straight in the 2016 campaign until knocking Warren Central around last week by a 51-6 margin. They'll look to keep their momentum going into the playoffs when they make the hour-long trip down to Hendersonville to take on Pope John Paul II. Last season PJPII scored more points against South Warren than any team on the entire Spartan schedule, albeit in a 36-14 loss. The Knights enter at 5-4 on the year, with all their losses to recognized Tennessee powers (Brentwood, Ensworth, Montgomery Bell, and McCallie), all of which are rated in the top 11 of Tennessee's teams on calpreps.com. There's not much for us to use to compare, but for what it's worth, calpreps has PJPII rated as 1,371 nationally, while having South Warren enters at 2,168. Whatever that means. Do the invaders from the Bluegrass state take it from the homestanding Pope John Paul II Knights?
