4A #6 John Hardin vs. Western

The Bulldogs got a mighty scare last week, surviving Valley's rally (accidental rhyme) in a 21-20 win. Valley is a better team than their record might indicate, but it was still a fairly significant surprise in a district that John Hardin looked to be a lock in. That result throws into sharp relief their district title tilt against Western this week, themselves 36-20 winners over Valley two weeks ago. I'd like to give you stats, but apparently Western's stat team has failed to make the trip back from their visit to Holy Cross in mid-September. Last year this game was a laugher, a 36-0 victory for the Bulldogs. Was the close game against Valley the splash of cold water the Bulldogs needed or can Western pull the stunner and make some teams in District 4 very unhappy about their draw?

JH will win. Watching Western the last 3 years they have good athletes and they try to beat you with them. This is why JH has dominated this series and will win again Friday. Because they have better athletes and better football players. I don't think it will be a running clock, though. Maybe a 2-3 TD win.
