4A #7 Wayne County at #9 Knox Central

Wayne County finds themselves behind the 8 ball after a 41-34 OT loss to Rockcastle County snapped their five game winning streak a week ago. They jump right back into the fire against Knox Central (4-2-1), which hasn't lost since a 34-20 decision to Southwestern on September 2nd. A year ago the Panthers gave them a run for their money in the regular season matchup before a playoff blowout. Will they get revenge and send Wayne County reeling from being a top 3 team in the state to being #3 in their own district? Or will the Cards recover their footing?

This is an OUCH game.

Looks like this could be for second place in the district. The opposite district isn't too difficult so finishing third would still give one of these teams a winnable first round game, but the negative would be a second round trip to Rockcastle County, a much more difficult game than a second rounder at East Jessamine for whoever finishes second.

I'm going to go with Wayne in this game. I think with a heart dropping lost to The Rock last week, I think they will come out with fire in their eyes.
