spindoc
Yep, I'm sure we will get our share of our favorite style of humor in this thread. But on a serious note, I bought a couple of these things. A friend said he'd had some really serious success on them, so I bought a couple of different colors. And no joke, first cast last Friday, 17" smallie. I caught roughly 9 fish on that thing in the couple of hours I fished. But if fish are busting bait on top, I pitched in the vicinity and got a strike. I missed a nice fish who tried to eat the darn thing three times on one retrieve. Saw him at the boat. Largemouth in the 20inch range. It's obviously a topwater bait, and it's a bit pricey, but I highly recommend it. I bought one of the large ones in rainbow trout and am planning on going to the cumberland river this weekend and seeing if I can get one of the giants to try it out. BirdBrain
It looks like the tail is live action...is it replaceable ? I would think it would wear quickly. Assume it works up and down, as opposed to the standard rattle trap or jitter bug ? @lawildcat: I thought you were an indoor cat ? Do you fish in this swampy weather ? I take you for something along these lines......

CincySportsFan
I told Mr. Cat that I would go fishing with him. I'm still waiting.... Hmmmm, interesting. Can you answer the following questions for me? Do you... - have to have someone put the bait on the hook for you? - have to have someone take any caught fish off the hook for you? - complain about the lack of cell phone service? - think that peace and quiet is the perfect time to have conversation? - get motion sickness easily? - complain about how hot it is? Mr. Cat will be handling any bait or fish. The ponds are on our property so there is cell service. I know proper etiquette when fishing and have the ability to sit in silence. I'm not a child. We won't be in a boat; on a dock. If it's hot, I'll just take my clothes off - private property and back in the woods where no one will see me.
