theguru
Parents, Students, Faculty, and Staff, We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Justin Kaiser ’98 as Beechwood’s Athletic Director, effective July 1. Justin will continue to serve as Assistant Principal of Beechwood High School, while supervising our athletic programs. As a former student, administrator, and community member, Justin knows Beechwood well and has a comprehensive understanding of our mission and values. He was an honors student and a three time state-champion wide receiver during his four years at Beechwood High School. Justin earned his undergraduate and master’s degree in education at Northern Kentucky University and then began his education career. While teaching, Justin continued his love for athletics as a football coach at Turpin High School and football/basketball at Covington Holmes. He has combined the knowledge gained with valuable experience as a teacher and assistant principal to become an accomplished administrator and a leader who will consistently demonstrate his passion for athletics and his commitment to our students. As Director of Athletics, Justin will also be supported by two assistant athletic directors: Ryan Booth and Brandon Slusher. Ryan Booth has been a teacher and coach at Beechwood since 2012. In his time at Beechwood, Ryan has served as the freshmen boys basketball coach and the boys golf coach. Ryan holds an undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northern Kentucky University. Brandon Slusher ’05 has been serving as the athletic trainer for NovaCare, assigned to Beechwood Schools, since 2013. Brandon holds a BS in Athletic Training from Northern Kentucky University. We are tremendously grateful to the members of our assistant athletic director hiring committee: Erick Goetz, Lisa Sletto, Noel Rash, Justin Kaiser, and Alissa Ayres These members of our community worked diligently and effectively to review and interview our excellent internal pool of candidates. Over the next year, the athletic directors will work with the administration and coaches at Beechwood High School to undergo the development of a 5 year strategic plan to support, enhance, and sustain an exemplary program in athletics for all students at Beechwood. Please congratulate our staff as we begin the 2016 2017 school year! Sincerely, Alissa Ayres, Principal
