THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER

STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH

SATURDAY MORNING.

 

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW.

 

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 4 TO 6 INCHES.

 

* TIMING...SNOW WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE WATCH AREA FRIDAY

MORNING...CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING...AND

THEN TAPER OFF LATE FRIDAY NIGHT. HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IS

EXPECTED FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

 

* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO

REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND SNOW ACCUMULATIONS.

 

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

 

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE MID 20S.

The buses of mostly young people from Northern KY and Cincinnati that were scheduled to head to the March for Life in Washington, DC for Friday's gathering were cancelled. I know all of them are disappointed, but it was probably a wise decision considering the anticipated conditions in that part of the country.

Yep. Bishop made a smart decision even if it wasn't a popular one. I have one senior in my home who was looking forward to the trip. I'm sad for him because this would have been his first time and according to my daughter who has been numerous times, it is a life changing experience.
