4A #10 Collins at 5A Bullitt East

It seems safe to say that wasn't what Collins had in mind for their first game, gutting out a 7-0 win on the road at Montgomery County, a team that stumbled to a 2-8 record last year and missed the playoffs. They often say you learn more from a loss than a win, but surely there is plenty to glean from an underwhelming performance. Still, a win is a win, and Collins starts 1-0. Their opponent, Bullitt East, was not so fortunate. They dropped a 28-14 decision to Eastern. The Chargers were a strong team last year that ended on a sour note in a first round upset in the playoffs, and now start on the wrong foot at 0-1. Can they get back up or does Collins re-establish?

Collins young group still has some work to do. Coach Lucas will use the first weeks to work on what Collins needs to improve on.

I thought this game would gather more attention. Not sure what Bullitt East has returning but it is never fun going to Mt. Washington to play them in anything.

Collins will come out and try to establish the run behind the big experience front. Off the run they will come with the passing game. Stats last week showed how even Collins can be to the run/pass. The line must start becoming a dominate force that I think they can be.

Bullitt East had three starters out last week. LB, RBs, and their best Olineman. Should be a good game. Collins has been very good in the past. Both teams are very young.

It should be battle of inexperience from what it sounds like. You never know what will happen in games like this one.

I did not realize just how young BE was. This game might be loaded with mistakes or someone just might click. If it is young vs young, I will go with Collins. Collins D is pretty darn good.
