Bluegrasscard
Lexington / Central Kentucky Top 10 Power Rankings - Week 0 The first week of play always adds clarity to any ranking and such was the case here. In the Game of the Week Boyle County showed it can hang with and beat the big bruisers from 6A with a 21 - 18 win over Central Hardin. Lafayette and Scott County were both winners in their opening games with the Generals downing local rival Paul Lawrance Dunbar. Scott County put a licking on Tates Creek 46 to 6. Henry Clay was idle. To round out the top half of the top ten - Lexington Catholic cruised by Boone County, 51 to 13. The lower part of the Top 10 gets both a shuffle and some new teams. The Franklin County Flyers came out on fire against 2A Shelby Valley with a 60 to 6 win. Anderson County took care of business against South Oldham, 32 - 20. 2A Danville easily took down 3A LaRue County 41 - 14. Paris beat Frankfort 21 - 12. Many felt it was a mis-fire to have Paris the top 10. And 'after further review' I agreed. So with this weeks results if Paris drops out, so does Frankfort. This opens two slots. in the Top 10. Bryan Station definitely gets a spot with an impressive 49 to 0 victory over Knox Central. And with Garrrard County losing to Shelby County in a very close game, the 2nd newly open spot will go to Bourbon County who was idle in week 0. mcpapa
In your defense, Paris did defeat Frankfort, which is a bit of validation.

gamebreaker
Station hosting Simon Kenton also. This will be a great week
thepeopleschamp
Watched the video of Scott Co. and Tates Creek. Scott Co. is really good. I think TC is a lot better this year than they have been recently and Scott Co. just tore through them upfront. The Cardinals have one of the better OL/DL combos in the state. Bluegrasscard
Along with the co-games of the week there are some other key games that should provide more insight into the strength of 6A this week. As mentioned above Scott County will host Pulaski County. Also in a key game 6A Bryan Station hosts 6A Simon Kenton. There are prediction threads on these games but the results of the games will have an impact on the L/CK Power Ratings. With three of the top 6A teams going against some of the states top out-of-region teams this weekend will provide some insight into the question - "Is Central Kentucky 6A for real this year?". Its not a far run from Bryan Station to Scott County - so those wanting to squeeze in both games could do it if you want some HS football overload. Rebel
Maybe Lafayette is having a off game against Mercer, but #1 I'm just not seeing it.
Colonels_Wear_Blue
Are these week 1 rankings, or week 0? The thread title and the header in the OP are contradictory of one another.
