Mustang
Highands plays longball at St. Mary on Monday afternoon. Highlands Senior Todd Ramey (Georgetown) belted back-to-back home runs, while Joseph Martin (St. Cath) added a third. Senior Alex Veneman made two spectacular catches in centerfield to hold the Mustangs at bay. Junior Max McConnell made his first start of the season on the hill, and pitched relatively solid baseball. I did not note the Highlands pitcher of record. Brossart has a key 37th District seeding arrangement with Scott on Tuesday at the same venue. Highlands leads the 9th Region with most wins at 15, and remain undefeated against Northern Kentucky competition.
