Louisville City FC remains unbeaten in its inaugural season following a 2-0 home win on Saturday evening against Tulsa. The Bourbon Boys now sit in sole possession of fourth in the Eastern Conference with 9 points and a record of 2-0-3.

Matt Fondy headed in the opening goal in the 24th minute off a spectacular cross from Brian Burke.

The clincher came on an own goal that was deflected in off a Tulsa defender when late sub Nate Polak hammered one off his left foot in the 89th minute.

City played a man down for the bulk of the second half when midfielder Charlie Adams was sent off (perhaps unjustly) in the 52nd minute but still managed to get the victory.

One of the coolest things I've ever seen happened before the game. At about the 8 minute mark of the broadcast replay posted below, the national anthem begins. About 10 seconds into it, a downpour starts... then the hail starts. What was awesome is that the woman singing never even flinched until she was done with the anthem. It was awesome.
