Tennessee high school Coach gets assaulted by student

Riverdale (TN) High School head football coach Ron Aydelott was transported to the hospital after allegedly being assaulted by a student Tuesday morning, according to a spokesperson with Rutherford County Schools.

The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office said in a press release the 17-year-old junior accused of attacking Aydelott has been charged with aggravated assault.

A school resource officer arrested the teen Tuesday morning. The teen is being held at a juvenile detention center and will go before a judge Wednesday at 1 p.m in juvenile court.
