Thursday severe weather outlook

Much of the state of Kentucky looks to be in the enhanced area for possible severe thunderstorms. We have a better chance of seeing intense supercell thunderstorms that could produce a strong tornado or two. Also we could be looking at large hail and damaging winds.

Everyone should be on the lookout for storms throughout the day on Thursday. The best chance for these storms look to be later afternoon into the overnight hours.

Thursday Outlook

Severe storms are likely today into tonight. The development of supercell thunderstorms is possible for some parts of Kentucky. The main threat could be large hail, damaging winds and possible tornadoes. There is also a chance that some of the tornadoes, if they develop could be strong ones.

I forgot to say that we will see scattered thunderstorms trough out the day today. This afternoon is when we should see the more organized severe storms.

Flash Flood watches have been issued for many parts of Kentucky.
