Voice of Reason
Is Wisconsin on the verge of the greatest tournament run ever? They have now defeated: - North Carolina ... ACC runner-up and legendary program - Arizona ... arguably the second most talented team in the NCAA this season - UK ... undefeated, consensus #1 loaded with talent - Next up ... Duke ... winningest coach ever, talent loaded The only way it could have been better would have been if they also beat Kansas along the way. If they win Monday, is that the greatest tournament run ever?
LOOGY
It's been pretty impressive. As we saw last night, they are a matchup nightmare. They might not be the most talented team, but my lord they can shoot the rock.
Voice of Reason
Great shooting and great execution in everything they do. They will make you pay for every lapse you have.
Hellbird
I don't know if it's the greatest ever. I thought last year when UK knocked off 3 #1 seeds was a bit more impressive, especially being a 8 seed.
mcpapa
Best I can remember in terms of defeating storied programs was Maryland in 2002. Defeated 4 previous national champions in succession - Kentucky, Connecticut, Kansas and Indiana. Wisconsin's run certainly is comparable.
gchs_uk9
They've beat the highest available seed five games in a row. Duke is a 1-seed but technically Villanova would have been the highest available seed in the final, although nobody believed that. This is a terrific run by Wisconsin. bugatti
Kansas. I still think that Kansas team was right there with Duke '99 as the best since UNLV '91 not to win the title. People forget how good they were since they exited in the Sweet 16.
bugatti
You're right. Brain fart on my partHowever, had they beat UConn last season, it would have been the lowest cumulative total for any Championship team: 9, 1, 4, 2, 2, and 7.
