It's the last game on the schedule that will be the strongest test...IMO. The Tigers

were a whisker away from being 2A state champs, and I believe that they have almost everyone back.

I know nothing concerning what kind of team Ft. Campbell will be fielding this year, but I think there is a good chance that we will go into the Caldwell game undefeated. Princeton may double in size for a few hours that evening.

I think its a very tough non district schedule and will tell if we can repeat as the 1A state champs. I have no idea whether we will can be undefeated because we lost maybe one of the all time best players at Mayfield but we have alot coming back and we should be right in the thick of it.

Mayfield should be the class A favorite with the line returning intact and qb who I think is one of the best we have ever had. The schedule will give them a chance to work out the kinks in what should be a very balanced offense once again but I do not see us getting through the early portion undefeated. Any one or all of the first 5 and maybe first 6 could beat us but by late season we should be a juggernaut if we stay fairly injury free

Ft Campbell on the road will be a tough season opening game... McCracken Co will basically be Lone Oak with an extra 20-25 kids, so, they are going to be a tough game... Tilghman will have there best team in several years and Mayfield will likely be an underdog in that one, especially on the road... I don't expect Graves to be as good as last year, but, still a formidable opponent and big rivalry game.. Marshall should be improved from last year and I think could give Mayfield a decent game, especially after the 1st 5 games, whereas injuries could be a factor.. I don't think any of the district games will be all that competitive, possibly Russelville, as they should be improved, but, the Cards do get them at home, so, that should be enough.. Caldwell Co will likely be the #1 team in 2a this year, at the very least, Top 3-4 and will be a tough team to stop with there high powered offense.. Honestly, Mayfield could easily lose 4 or 5 games this year and still be the team to beat in 1a at seasons end, because this schedule will make them better come playoff time..

They return the entire team, Im not sure they lost a single starter. I expect them to give us an epic battle this year

Yeah, like I said, we could have four or five losses going in to the Caldwell game. :D
