2015-16 10th Region Girls Rankings Week 2

By All State Baseball - 1.Mason County (4-0): Mason County continues to show and prove that they are the team to beat in the 10th region this season, adding two more blowout wins to their win column, with one of them being against a top 10 team in Bracken County. Team of the Week: Scott County – The young Cardinals won 3 games in 3 days by knocking off LCA by 20, Corbin by 9 and Lex Cath by 11. Billy Hicks has his team playing well already and sit at 7-1 heading into the Christmas break. Player of the Week: Michael Moreno, Scott County – The big reason they went 3-0 last week. BE continues to win handily with their closest recent game a double digit victory over a solid Cordia team. BE plays Waggener in their first game at the KOB this weekend. 2) Fern Creek (5-2)- After beating Seneca by 39 points, Fern Creek suffered their first lost to Trinity and then lost again to Male for back to back defeats. To date, they've shot an insane 45% from 3 pt. territory. They're averaging over 9 made threes per game. Perry Central will face Jackson City on Wednesday before heading to Bowling Green to participate in the Warren East Holiday Classic. Weekly Rankings 1. Elliott County- The Lions picked up wins over Menifee County and Fairview by large margins this past week. The Lions also picked up an 80-78 point victory over Boyd County at the Boyd County Roundball Classic. They were led by freshman Korbin Spencer who put in 34 points. By SHS Future - 12th Region Rankings: 1) Mercer County (5-0) – The Titans played two road games this week vs 12th Region competition and handled both games with ease. Mercer Co. defeated Rockcastle Co. 85-51 and Casey Co. 103-66. Versus Rockcastle, Trevon Faulkner led the way with 22 points and Malik Dow added 20 points and 11 rebounds. Against Casey Co. There are two teams that are still above everyone else, but Graves County has been playing very well as of late and can make it a three way if they can keep it up. By Les - 1. Harlan Lady Green Dragons — The Lady Green Dragons keep rolling a long. Harlan is now 4-0 after picking up impressive wins over Middlesboro and Letcher Central. Since beating North Laurel in its season-opener by three points, the Lady Green Dragons’ margin of victory has been 31 points per game during their last three contests. 2. By Les - 1. South Laurel Cardinals — The Cardinals turned in an impressive week by going on the road and picking up impressive wins over both Whitley County, and North Laurel. Senior center Caleb Davis has had a big say in the win by scoring 23 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and blocking 10 shots against the Colonels while recording 31 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks against North Laurel.
