Inside the 13th Region (1-26-15)

By Les - Folks, itís been one of those weeks in the 13th Region. Yep, weíve had some teams pick up good wins that has left me scratching my head, and some teams dropping loses that did the same. Iíll be the first to admit, this has been, by far, the hardest season Iíve ever had to rank teams. Youíve got teams that, when healthy, are very, very good. Then you have teams that have set their star player, and suffer a key loss, only to come back and get a huge road win. Yep, those are just a few examples on why this has been so hard to decide to put which team where in my rankings. But with that said,... Read More →

Paris stayed at home for 2 games over the weekend, starting with a Friday night 80-35 whipping of Nicholas County. A pair of Greyhounds earned double-doubles: Garrard finished with 20 points & 14 rebounds and senior big man William O'Bryan had 10 points &... Read More →

Inside the 6th Region (1/26/15)

By GoHardITP - The past week really showed how crazy this season has been. It is almost impossible to rank or analyze teams because the performance from one game to the next for most teams is just so unpredictable. The last week saw the #1 ranked 6th region team blow out two teams and get blown out themselves in a third game during the week. That is just an example, many teams had key games that left you scratching your head. So here goes the new rankings: Top 10 1.) Doss After a 2-1 week, Doss is now 17-4 and still undefeated in the region at 8-0. After two lop sided victories, a late addition... Read More →

Inside the 15th Region (1-25-15)

By 15th Region - Overview: Will the best team in the 15th Region please stand up? Week 8 results gave us a return to what our preseason rankings predicted, showed that a great team can play great and still get beat, saw a key player return to one of our contenders with a bang and reaffirmed that 15th Region middle of the pack teams are consistently inconsistent at best (Example: Allen Central upsetting Paintsville in OT then getting blown out the next game by a 5 win South Floyd team). With District Tournaments just a month away, bench rotations are beginning to shorten and possessions per game reduced as... Read More →

Let's get right to it. Player of the Week – Isaiah “Pun” Tisdale – Henry Clay: Pun might as well be short for Punisher, because that’s the best descriptor for this kid’s scoring ability.
