By Walter - Almost halfway through January and the 9th region rankings are still a toss up. Once again, we have movement in the rankings. Let's take a look at this week's rankings as we review last week's action. 1. Covington Catholic (11-5) The Colonels went 2-1 this past week with a 60-29 win over Conner, 72-59 win over Winton Woods, and 64-51 loss to Cincinnati power Moeller. Overall: Sophomore CJ Fredrick is slowly emerging as not only one of the best sophomores in Northern Kentucky, but possibly the state with three double figure scoring performances this week (11,12, 18) to follow up the... By ApolloFan98 - 1.Meade County(13-3 SAME) - Meade split a pair of games this week, winning at home vs Bullet Central but losing on the road to an 8-8 John Hardin team. The Waves put all 5 starters in double figures against BC. The loss to John Hardin tightens the gap with Daviess County, but the Waves strength of losses are solid. By silo11 - Remember these rankings will be based on current play and not just the record or one good/bad game. Lot of teams gearing up for the All "A" Classic that starts next week. Here are the rankings as of 1/11/16. 1. Paducah Tilghman (11-4) The Blue Tornadoes were brought back down to earth in the last 2 weeks having lost 4 out of their last 5 games after starting the season 10-0. Grant it those games have been against some very good competition. They played a great game at Christian County and had the chance to win that game but let it slip away in the final few minutes. In the region... Read More →

2nd Region Rankings for Jan. 11

By The Scribe - We are still less than three weeks away from the first of two showdowns featuring the top two teams in the Second Region Christian County and Hopkinsville. Neither team has done anything in recent weeks to alter any arguments that they are indeed the top two teams in the region. And none of the teams chasing those two have done anything to show they can crash their party. Webster County, ranked fourth in the region last week, was clobbered by Christian County 65-33, while Hopkinsville beat Madisonville, ranked third, 88-76. University Heights has a Tuesday matchup with Christian... Read More →

6th Region Rankings (Week 6) 1/10/2016

By GoHardITP - 6th Region Rankings (1/10/16) 1) Bullitt East (13-2)- BE played back to back games this week against District foes, Fern Creek & Whitefield. Blow out versus Whitefield and a last minute thriller against Fern Creek. Tyler Sharpe hit a huge 3 pointer when BE was down 5 under 4 minutes to go and then he sealed the deal with several free throws following an old fashioned 3 point play on a layup and 1 with under a minute to go gave BE a five point lead. Prime time team led by a prime time player. Bullitt East should be considered a favorite in the upcoming LIT and at a minimum will likely... Read More →

By ball_coach_4 - Rankings as of 1/10/16 for the 7th Region (Last ranking in parentheses ()).We have the first movement at the top of the 7th region since the first rankings on Dec. 22, but I don’t think the last in my opinion. There will be movement all over the place in the 7th, and I think that anyone in the top 6 can/will win the region. Note, my apologies in omitting Collegiate in the previous rankings. This was an unintentional oversight on my part. They have been added to this week’s rankings: 1. Male (12-2) (2) This team has been very consistent all year, and was operating under the radar...
