14th Region District Tournament Previews and Region Rankings

By All State Baseball - 53rd District Tournament Preview: Jenkins High School will be host of this year’s 53rd district tournament. The Knott Central Lady Patriots are the favorites and should win this district by 10+ but Jenkins Lady Cavaliers and Whitney Creech could make some noise and upset the Lady Pats. Knott Central has defeated Jenkins twice this season, once by 18 and one by 11 and not to mention that the Lady Cavs are playing some good ball right now, winning 4 of their last 5 games. By All State Baseball - 1.Shelby Valley (21-3): Lady Wildcats picked up two good wins last week defeating Pikeville (45-29) and Betsy Layne (39-32). Sophomore guard, Summer Rose led the Lady Wildcats with 13 points in their win over Pikeville. Sophomore guard Kayla Newsom added 11 and senior forward Lakyn Mullins added 11 points and 8 boards.
