By All State Baseball - As the season continues to wined down, we’ve seen some good action and we’ve seen games get canceled/postponed/rescheduled due to a huge winter storm that wrecked havoic on Kentucky and it’s sports. The only sports that took place were college hoops. The 16th region looks to be a 6-team race to see who goes to Rupp Arena to play in the KHSAA State Boys Sweet 16. Those teams consists of; Ashland, Boyd County, Elliott County, Morgan County, Rowan County, West Carter. Ashland (6-2): (0-1 vs. Elliott County), (0-1 vs. Boyd County), (Have yet to play West Carter and Rowan... Read More →

6th Region Rankings 1/27/16

By GoHardITP - With many games canceled from the snow last week, I counted yesterday games in the new rankings as many teams only had a single game or none at all from last rankings. 1) Bullitt East (16-3)- Nice 15 point win over Manual and a blowout over Meade County. Still the dominating team of the region with a 4-0 record. Hats off to Tyler Sharpe, the new 3 point career record holder at Bullitt East. The young man has built quite a legacy. 2) Doss (13-4)- No games since the loss in the LIT to Male, but they deserve this ranking with Fern Creek losing again to Ballard and North Bullitt losing... Region 1 Rankings (1/25/16 Week 8)

By silo11 - Remember these rankings will be based on current play and not just the record or one good/bad game. Both of the top teams won their tournaments this week and continue to prove they are the best in Region 1. Here are the rankings as of 1/25/16. 1. Paducah Tilghman (16-4) The Blue Tornadoes won the Superman Classic in Carbondale last week and showed some nice muscle in doing so. They will play Mayfield and at Marshall County this week. I don’t expect them to lose either game. Looking forward to when PT travels to Graves Co on Feb 2. 2. Murray (16-4) Murray won the Region 1 All “A”... Read More →

Inside the 9th Region (1/25)

By Walter - A week ago everyone in Northern Kentucky thought that we had FINALLY found a unanimous number 1 team in the region. An All A region tournament later and we are back to questioning who the best team in the region really is. Let's take a look at this week's rankings and review last week's (snowy and limited) action. 1. Covington Catholic (14-6) Even with the loss to Holy Cross, it's tough to argue against Covcath right now as the best team in the region after beating Newcath by 15 then beating two very good Cincinnati teams in Lakota East and Aiken. Aiden Ruthsatz really stepped up his... Read More →

Region 7 Rankings - 1/25/16

By ball_coach_4 - Since I posted them on Thursday of last week, and all games were cancelled for the remainder of the week, the rankings haven’t changed for this week at the top. We had a little movement in the bottom 10 from the All “A” Classic, and the teams that moved ranking from last week’s ranking are shown in parentheses (): 1. Ballard (13 -6) Tough week looming for the new #1 team this week. They have games versus a very talented Fern Creek team, Seneca, and a streaking St. X on Friday. Their schedule this week will be a great test to show if they can stay at the top of the region. 2.... Read More →

Inside the 15th Region (1-25-15)

By 15th Region - Overview: With snow forcing cancellations for over half the week, the mountains saw very little basketball action but was able to get a few games in on Monday and Tuesday. Let’s see the rankings after 8 weeks of play. 1. Lawrence County (17-3) – The Bulldogs were only able to get one game in before the snow came, but were able to defeat Paintsville... Read More →

3rd Region Rankings (1/25/16)

By ApolloFan98 - The big snow cost the 3rd region some big games last week, but there was still SOME action of note.... 1.Meade County(15-4 SAME) - The Waves suffered a setback this past week to another team with a great record, North Hardin. The combined records of the teams that have beaten Meade this season, is an impressive 61-15. No shame in those defeats. Meade has another tough one Tuesday in 15-3 Bullett East before returning home to host a big district contest vs Breck County. 2.Breck County(13-5 SAME) - Breck took an ugly loss on the road vs Apollo this week, but maintain their #2 spot over... 8th Region SNOW Re-cap and Rankings

By 8th Region Warrior - A lot of snow this week, and that means a lot of cancelled games. Coaches frown at the snow and it could be a blessing in disguise with players getting some rest, and teams having players heal up during the break. Making up games can be a pain, especially if they are district seed games. Here is this weeks rankings and not a lot has changed. 1. Owen County-The Rebels travel to Frankfort as one of the favorites to win the All A, and play host to KCD in the first round. I hope the NCC match up awaits us, as we could watch 2 Mr. Basketball candidates in action. Only game this week was... Read More →
