Inside the 6th Region (12/5/2016)

By coachlee - After 1 week, only (7) 6th region teams escaped the week without taking a loss. Many of those taking a loss suffered it at the hands of another 6th region team, so to think the 6th is down this year is likely a knee jerk reaction this early. However, DeSales, Bullitt East, and Moore all losing out of region games was a bit surprising. So the rankings will change a bit and until we get a larger sample this will be a Top 10 this week 1) Fern Creek(3-0)- The Tigers get the nod at the top by virtue of their double digit win over pre-season #1 ranked Doss. 83-70 was the final score at Doss... Inside the 1st Region (12/5/16)

By silo11 - The team that made the biggest move this week was Paducah Tilghman, shooting up to the top of the chart due to Graves County Chris Vogt being injured and limited in play. It sets up a matchup next week with #1 vs #2 in the region for current bragging rights. Another team making a move is St. Mary. They have conjured up some scoring and will need that to continue to move up. Some of the teams have yet to play in state and some have yet to play a game. The top teams got a reality check by playing some of the stateís top teams. Region 2 teams Hopkinsville and Christian County defeated... Read More →

8th region Re-cap Week #1

By 8th Region Warrior - Inside the 8th region this week, saw some of our teams step outside the region to test their kids and see the talent in other regions. I always enjoy when they play other regions, as the 8th always seems to get a bad rap when mentioned across the Bluegrass, as of late. Ranking's for week #1 are below. 1. South Oldham- Not much changed here, except I truly think Jo Griffin could make a run at the POY in the region, he is a true complete player. The Dragon's got wins over region rival Shelby County with Jo Griffin posting 31 points in the win, and also defeated a CAL team that was missing... Read More →

Inside the 9th Region (12/5)

By Walter - The first week of 9th region hoops is in the books and while it is only the first week of December, we got a little better idea of what to expect from most teams after head to head match ups. These rankings will likely change a lot over these next few weeks, but here is where the teams stand after the opening week. 1.
