By Randy Parker - Thorobreds win 3, move to .500 on the year While many teams were facing canceled games, Larry Kendall's Harrison County squad played & won three times last week. The Breds started on Tuesday night by earning perhaps their best win of the season, a 50-37 triumph at George Rogers Clark. D.J. Jenkins led the winners with 20 points as Harrison held GRC to 3 points in both the 2nd & 4th quarters. On Thursday the Breds traveled to Carlisle and saw a double-digit lead shrink to 2 points in the 2nd half, but successful free throw shooting down the stretch enabled a 52-37 over Nicholas County. Inside The 11th Region (1/15/14)

By JokersWild24 - INTRODUCTION: This past week’s competition saw a huge upset, as Lexington Christian Academy knocked off Lexington Catholic in double-overtime. We’ve also saw two important showdowns that helped sort out the rankings of the Lexington area teams occur last night. In a match-up of the #2 and #3 teams in the 11th according to my rankings, as Lafayette knocked off Lexington Catholic. It was a big win for a couple of reasons. First, it was on Lexington Catholic’s home floor (and through the years, the Knights fans, especially the students show a lot of support for their team and it can... Read More →

2014 4th Region All "A" Tournament

By DragonFire - The Favorite Clinton County (11-5) - Last year, Clinton County avenged a tough loss to Glasgow in the 2012 All A Tournament with a win in the title game on their own floor to win the region for the first time since 2009 and third overall. The Bulldogs are a narrow favorite for the 4th Region All "A". Aside from a late December swoon, the Bulldogs have mostly run over their competition. Their duo of Colby Langford and Keifer Dalton is not only the best 1-2 punch in the regional, but they may be the two best players playing in the entire tournament. The major negative the Bulldogs face is... Read More →
