15th Region Notebook (1/14 - 1/19) (top 10 rankings)

By dolamite - With only a couple of teams not playing in the 15th Region "All A" Classic, the past week or so has really gave us a chance to see where the region stacks up against one another a little over midway through the season. One of the surging teams of late has been the Pikeville Panthers, a team that has been up and down in our rankings this season. After the Ray Kasongo eligibility ruling was over turned on appeal we instantly dubbed Pikeville as a top 3 team, then they went on a skid losing six of seven. Recently they have started to trend upwards once again as they have won four... Read More →

8th Region All "A" Classic Tournament Preview

By 8thRegionGuy - 8th Region All "A" Classic Tournament Preview This region is up for grabs. All of the teams for the most part have beaten another team that has beat another team that beat that team. In the 13 years I have watched the 8th Region, I can't remember this much parity. This year, the tournament returns to Williamstown. The Demon Arena has great unobstructed viewing, but just one level of seating which might make for a packed semifinals and finals along with the first round game with Owen & Gallatin. 2nd Region All-A Classic Preview

By The Scribe - Second Region All-A Classic Preview In past years, it was pretty much a given that University Heights Academy would be the Second Region representative at the All-A Classic State Tournament. The Blazers have won seven of the last nine region titles and 17 of the 23 overall. UHA has also won eight small school state titles. Despite the dominance of the Blazers at the region level, this year could see as many as five teams with a shot to win the region title. The Blazers probably have the easiest first round game, hosting a two-win Dawson Springs team Tuesday night. UHA has played... Read More →
